Page 31. My dad, M. E. Barr, was mainly involved with selling and repairing bicycles, but also sold, restrung and repairied tennis racquets, sold and sharpened ice skates and even sold American Flyer Electric Trains for a short while. He repaired and restrung the tennis racquets for several of the most famous professional tennis players of the day (1920's, '30's and '40's)., plus many of the local stars. They would send them to him from all over the world.
The truck, which is parked in the driveway of our home in Chautauqua Park, is a 1949 Chevrolet "Canopy Express". That's my dad at the wheel.
The photo of the bicycle shop is the one I first remember downtown at 713 Grand. He later moved to 1500 Linden Street in the early 1950's.

As I remember my father (Dr Park) had his office on the 5th floor of the Teachout building. Had a lot of good time there running the elevator.
My grandfather (Weissinger) had a shoe shop just East of the railroad tracks on Locust.
Marty Schrock and I slid down the fire poles during construction.
